A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to inactive addresses under the very same domain. For example, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get messages from friends or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you’ve got a cloud hosting with our company and you would like to activate the catch-all feature for a certain mailbox that you have in the account, it’ll take literally only one single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to do this. A catch-all button is available next to each email address that you have set up under any domain name registered in your account. You can choose one single address per domain name by clicking the respective button. This will enable the feature instantaneously, so all email messages sent to misspelled addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking the button for a second time will disable the catch-all feature. If you’ve got activated email forwarding, our system will exhibit a warning notice and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature until you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply select another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be configured with several clicks of the mouse in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated hosting with our company. The hosting account will be managed via our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll be able to create email addresses with any domain hosted there. To activate the catch-all functionality for a particular mailbox, you’ll have to click on the sign with the exact same name, which will be on the right side of each mailbox. Deactivating this functionality can be achieved in the same fashion and will not require more than one click either. In case a catch-all mailbox has already been activated for a given domain, you’ll receive a warning notice. The same goes if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never replace or deactivate anything automatically.
